Crispy Tilapia Lettuce Wraps


Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets, cut into strips

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 8 large lettuce leaves (such as butter lettuce or romaine)

  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots

  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumber

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

  • Lime wedges for serving

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with paprika.

  3. Season the tilapia strips with salt and pepper. Dredge each strip in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.

  4. Place the coated tilapia strips on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until crispy and golden.

  5. Assemble the lettuce wraps by placing a few tilapia strips in each lettuce leaf. Top with shredded carrots, sliced cucumber, and chopped cilantro.

  6. Serve the wraps with lime wedges for squeezing over the filling. Enjoy the crunchy and flavorful combination!
